Jim Round

About

Jim is an award winning filmmaker living in Los Angeles and is a producer for the Media Lab at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, CA. Outside of JPL, he is an independent filmmaker and producer creating work for Fortune 500 companies and non-profits alike in many different industries including advertising, fashion, medical, manufacturing, biotech, education, and the fine arts. His documentary work has screened in museums around the world including the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and Huereka Science Centre in Finland. Jim has received  numerous awards for his work including two prime-time Emmys for his contributions in interactive programming for JPL, the JPL Discovery award, and NASA's video documentarian of the year. He has been a member of the Screen Actors Guild for over twenty-five years.

Jim grew up in Evanston, Il, and attended the University of Michigan on a gymnastics scholarship where he was team captain and All Big Ten Scholar Athlete. He has a degree in history.
